Sardinia is part of Italy. As well as one of the healthiest places on Earth! Sardinians are famous for their daily consumption of the robust, regional red wine called Cannonau. Cannonau wine has two to three times the level of artery-scrubbing flavonoids as other wines.

Sardinia is home to Cannonau, the local name for Grenache, as well as Vermentino and Carignano, also known as Carignan. These three are the island's most prolific grapes, but a cache of indigenous varieties that only escape the island occasionally are like a rare wine treasure map. Get ready for an appetizing, and “healthful” adventure this weekend!
